St. Martin’s Procession on the Charles Bridge, 11:11am – onwards

St. Martin was a Roman Catholic saint, the bishop of Tours, who lived in the years 316 – 397. On 11 November watch the St. Martin’s procession on Charles Bridge, and in the afternoon, visit Vyšehrad to participate in a traditional St. Martin’s lantern procession. Also, on that day and for most of November, look for restaurants serving goose and St. Martin’s wine (Husa a Svatomartinské vino) which is the traditional food for the feast day. There are stalls and big celebrations in many squares around Prague including namesti Jiřího z Poděbrad in Vinohrady and Náplavka Farmer’s Market.
