November 17th marks a national holiday in the Czech Republic, the Day of the Struggle for Freedom and Democracy, as well as International Student Day. On this special day, entry to the National Gallery will be free to the following collection exhibitions: Old Masters I, Old Masters II, Medieval Art in Bohemia and Central Europe 1200–1550; 1796–1918: Art of the Long Century; 1918–1938: First Czechoslovak Republic; 1956–1989: Architecture for All; 1939–2021: The End of the Black-and-White Era.
Also, on Sunday November 24th entry to the buildings of the National Museum will be free.
