The Bridge is reinventing itself to be a resource for IWAP members to have at their fingertips.

In the past few years, The Bridge has evolved, changed and moved to its final home on the IWAP website. Through all The Bridge adjustments, we have heard you and are pleased to be presenting a very comprehensive resource available to IWAP members and their families.

It has been designed to provide long-term, reliable and informative resources broken down into the sections that have always been essential topics on The Bridge. While primarily focused on Prague, you will find other interesting links for adventures throughout the Czech Republic.

The Sections

Arts & Culture

You can find all the key resources for Museums, Theater and Films/Movies locations. Bookstores and Books & Resources for the bi-lingual speakers. At the very end, there is a link to Czech Culture Blogs.

Life & Family

Essential resources for day to day living are in this section. It includes websites for expats, Czech government and recycling information. News and Weather as well as Public Transport to car parking information websites are provided. Looking for something fun to do with family or friends? Take a look at the links to Prague Sports teams, family activities, Outdoor & Indoor Fun Parks to Cinemas. Need a little giggle about expat life, there are some interesting blogs for you to read through. Lastly, popular and reputable internet class offerings are listed in this section as well.

Travel & Taste

Travel resources exclusively covering Prague and the Czech Republic. Plan a day around Prague or consider one of the more popular Czech cities. All possible websites to help you plan your trip is in your reach in this section. As well as highlighting travel blogs that write exclusively about Prague and the Czech Republic.

Health & Wellness

Information provided includes multi-specialty clinics to listings of key medical terms in Czech and English. Dental care is highlighted along with key terms in Czech and English. Wellness & Fitness is abundant in Prague. A comprehensive online list of fitness programs are offered. Living in the Czech Republic, one will hear about Sauna and Spa Services, what does that involve exactly? Lastly, in this section, you will find some online calming rooms for you and your family. Two additional sections have been included for life in the Czech Republic.

Emergency Contacts

All the key organizations you need to access at your fingertips. From police and fire to locksmith to hospitals and 24-hour pharmacies. It is a comprehensive list of phone numbers to have accessible when the need arises. Further, you will find a helpful section outlining how to access medical care in case of an emergency.

Common Czech Phrases

This section was organized with the beginner Czech speaker in mind. The intention is to help someone get a start to the language and have some tools for day to day situations. Or if you have been here for a while and need some friendly prompts this might be for you too!

The Bridge Community Resources will be regularly reviewed and updated to ensure accuracy of information. This section has been in the making for several years, many hours researching for the correct website and then organizing it in an appealing manner for you to enjoy!
