Since 1990 the City of Plzen hosts a reenactment every May about the end of WWII and the liberation of Plzen by American forces. The event is celebrated with military parades and reenactments of military camps during the war. In the city center you will see American, Czech, French and also German camps with all the historical equipment, vehicles and troops in their WWII uniforms. Visit this wonderful event and take the opportunity to go into the General Patton Memorial Museum.
