Dear IWAP Members,

Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Season’s Greetings and best wishes for 2019-2020!

The festive season in Prague is in full swing. Decorative lights adorn buildings and sparkle through the long dark nights, Christmas Markets are plying their wares in the squares, shopping malls are brimming with gift ideas, many of the historic churches display beautiful nativity scenes, and tickets are on sale for wonderful concerts.

For all of us at IWAP things are busy this holiday season!

We thank members for their generosity in supporting IWAP charitable initiatives during this giving time of year.

  • Our pop-up charity events have been collecting funds for the important work of Locika and eda, and more will be raised through the Winter Party raffle.
  • We have provided Christmas gifts for all 37 people with disabilities on the Svate Domov Rodiny wish list again this year.
  • We have collected for gift packs to promote assist with communications for the young homeless clients of Naděje.

The 2019 Social & Cultural Events will wrap up with the Christmas Cocktails Evening Social on Friday, 13 December at 19:30.

On the twelve months up to Christmas our IWAP gave to me:

12 months of friendship
11 talkers hiking
10 general meetings
9 book club classics
8 mahjong gatherings
7 cameras clicking
6 ladies knitting
5 happy hour cheers
4 sipping tea
3 French chats
2 golfers gloves
And… 1 IWAP for you and for me!

To ensure we have time with family and friends, whether traveling to visit far off destinations or enjoying a festive season in the beautiful city of Prague, some IWAP functions will be limited for this period. Please verify with interest group leaders about meeting times for the groups during December and January as arrangements may vary from what is listed in the calendar.

Check your email, the IWAP Interactive Facebook page, and the calendar on the IWAP website for the most current events information.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the IWAP January General Meeting on Tuesday, 21 January 2020.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays!!

Warmest greetings of the season,

The IWAP Board
