Opening Time: Tuesday – Sunday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Where: Prague Botanic Garden’s Fata Morgana Greenhouse

Butterflies are probably the most admired group of insects. Their beauty, graceful flight and fragility has always fascinated mankind… No wonder that the exhibition of exotic butterflies at the Fata Morgana greenhouse has enjoyed a huge popularity and interest of visitors.

During this year’s exhibition, visitors can admire the beauty of the butterfly’s wings, their charming flight and the mysterious transformation of the pupa into an adult butterfly. Equally interesting are the details in the construction of the butterfly body, which is the main focus of this year’s exhibition.

We will reveal the structure of butterfly wings and we will also show what the eyes, legs or tentacles of caterpillars and adult butterflies look like. We will also focus on their interesting structures and on the mouths of caterpillars.

Apart from wings, visitors can admire all parts of their bodies and explore their charming structures. As in previous years, we bring cocoons from a butterfly farm from Stratford-upon-Avon, which guarantees quality species. During the exhibition we will present over five thousand individuals.
