Christmas is magical in the Czech Republic and Prague has many activities to choose from starting in November. The ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree on the Old Town Square will take place on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 5pm, and until January 6, 2023, the Christmas Tree in Old Town Square will be lit every day beginning at 4:30 pm. The Christmas markets are fun to wander through. Listen to music, watch groups singing Christmas carols, buy some gifts and don’t forget to sample Czech Christmas goodies like Vánočka (a braided sweet bread) and vánoční cukrovi (beautifully decorated cookies).
