Bílá Hora, (Bělohorská pláň near Hvězda), Prague 6
For the tenth time, the association “Bílá hora 1620” organizes the reconstruction of the battle of Bílá hora (White Mountain) which took place on November 8th 1620, marking the beginning of the Thirty Years War. The battle between the armies of the Bohemian Estates on the one hand and the combined armies of the Catholic League and the Imperial Army on the other, lasted only two hours but brought long lasting consequences for the Czech lands. The re-enactment will involve hundreds of participants and there will be historical showcases, music and market stalls. The grounds will open at 12:00 and the battle re-enactment will start at 15:00.
