IWAP member Colette Katschner-De Ruiter and her husband Rodrigo personally invite you to their family’s beautiful historic chateau for a Family Picnic Fundraiser. You can explore the gracious interior of the zamek and wander around the extensive park grounds. Children can visit the farm animals, and have fun playing pétanque. Guests can play ping pong, badminton, and lawn games. Feel free to bring your favorite lawn games. 

Open to IWAP members, their families and friends. (No pets please).

Fundraiser: This is a Charity Pop Up Event. Donations will be accepted for the IWAP Charity Fund at the event, or you can make a bank transfer into the IWAP Charity Account: 4561765001 / 5500.

IWAP 2020 Charities: Amelie- zs provides psycho-social support services to people who are coping with oncology issues in the Czech Republic, without regard to citizenship; and SKP HOPO offers a residential program for families who need support to raise their children in a safe environment.

What to bring:  Bring a picnic lunch for your family. Because of Covid-19, we will not have a potluck or share food, however all beverages will be provided.

What to expect: Water, fruit juice, beer, white and red wine will be provided as well as a welcoming glass of Prosecco.  The chateau is large and there will be tables and chairs indoors, spaced for physical distancing.  If you would like to eat outside, please bring a picnic blanket.

Car Pool:  We encourage carpooling and will assist with arrangements.

It is possible to get to Dobrenice by train from Hlavni Nadrazi but it takes in total about 2 hours. (One would have to change trains at Chlumec nad Cidlinou). From the Dobrenice train station, it is a 1.6 km walk. There is a recently built sidewalk so it is doable.

We will organize car pools after we learn who is coming.

• Take the highway D11 direction Hradec Kralove. From Cerny Most (end of yellow B metro line) it is about a 45 min drive to Dobrenice.
• Take the exit 76 “Dobrenice”.
• Take the round-about on the left and drive into the village towards the church.
• Before the church (there is only one) turn to the left into the courtyard, you will see the house.
• Park anywhere in the courtyard.
