These shops are part of a project which help restart lives through training programs, encouraging, helping and giving courage to people who face severe difficulties.

What to donate: Household items, clothing, footwear, accessories, books, toys, bedding.

They provide palliative care at home.

They offer women in social distress a full range of support, from basic necessities such as material assistance (food, hygiene, clothing), through social work to help with integration into the labor market and support with housing.

What to donate: Clothing and footwear (adult ladies, seasonal, preferably larger sizes), underwear, toiletries, tents, sleeping bags.

They provide a day centre, dormitory and shelter for people without homes and in need (Part of Caritas).

What to donate: Clothing (nothing formal), footwear, sleeping bags, tents, backpacks, cables, sports bags.

 

Comeback Progressive shop https://www.comebackshop.cz/eng/

Open: Monday-Friday 10:00 – 18:00, Rokycanova 10, Žižkov, Prague 3

Comeback Charity shop – a project created by Progressive NGO, first opened in 2017. The main goal of the shop is to help their employees, predominantly ex-drug users who are in the process of rehabilitation. All profits are used to support their recovery.

What to donate: Clothing, books, household items.

They support families of single parents.

What to donate: Clothing, footwear, children’s toys, bags, buggies, baby cribs, furniture, etc.

A low-threshold day center for women providing women without homes or living in insecure and inadequate housing with a safe space, meeting basic life needs, information and psychosocial support.

They support single parent families.

What to donate: Books – old phone boxes and cabinets where you can leave or exchange books for free.

 

Nábytková farma https://nabytkovafarma.cz/en/home-charity-shop/

Open: Monday-Friday 09:00 – 17:30; Saturday 09:00 – 13:00, U Hřbitova 939, 278 01, Kralupy nad Vltavou (from Betel organization)

They employ and help people without homes and people with addictions to start afresh and change their lifestyles.

What to donate: 2nd hand furniture (which they can also repair before selling it) and household items. They also provide a house clearance/cleaning service.

You can either take your items to Kralupy yourself or arrange for them to collect (for a fee).

 

Nábytková Banka (furniture bank) https://nabytkovka.cz/

Open: Monday-Wednesday 08:00 -12:00 and 13:00 – 15:30, Obrataňská 1430, Kunratice, Prague 4

They provide furniture and household items to low-income groups of Prague residents.

What to donate: Any functional furniture; furniture that can be repaired (replacement of hardware, gluing, new edging etc). functional electrical appliances and household equipment. For hygiene reasons, they do NOT accept used upholstered furniture – only if it is new and wrapped.
