To celebrate our wonderful, unique and diverse membership, IWAP is profiling one member each month. We’re asking members the same questions that will hopefully let us – and you – get to know them better. Each month we will profile a different member, selected at random, with the answers they provided along with their photo. Sarah Prouse is June’s selection.
Where are you from?
Australian born and raised. Lived in Vietnam and Thailand prior to Prague.
What brought you to Prague?
My partner came to run a business and then started his own Advertising company 9 years ago. We have lived in Prague for 11 years
What are your hobbies and interests?
I’m a Pilates instructor and passionate about any type of exercise (this is my “Yang” side).
I also love eating out and drinking delicious wine, finding new places and also hanging out in regular haunts (my “Yin”).
What are your favorite things to do in Prague? What surprised you the most about Prague?
Prague has changed a lot in the past 10 years, there is much more choice, especially the food. We love to explore other parts of Europe as well, we need to make the most of it whilst we are here as Oz is so far away from everything! It also provides a great opportunity to meet interesting people from all around the world.
What is your favorite aspect of being an IWAP member?
IWAP helped me build a network of friends, especially thanks to Chris Myhill (ex-newcomers co-ordinator). Although I don’t go to as many IWAP events that I used to, I’m still in contact with all the ladies that I met 10 years ago. If you are new to Prague, it’s a great organisation to be involved in because the women are very welcoming and there is so much going on.
What is your biggest goal for 2017?
Healthy, happy and maybe a little richer wouldn’t be such a bad thing 🙂
Anything extra you would like to add?
I honestly believe IWAP is a super non-profit organisation. Big thank you to all the members who are involved in the running of the business, magazine and organising all the events, great job!!!
