We all love free cultural activities and there are so many every year in the Czech Republic.  Those of us living here are very lucky to be able to participate in these wonderful events.  One of the most important ones is on the 28th of October as it is in honor of the anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia.  On this national holiday, admission to the following exhibitions at the National Gallery is free throughout the day:  The exhibit at the Veletržní Palace on life and art during the years of the First Republic, the Old Masters exhibition at the Schwarzenberg Palace, the Old Masters II exhibition at the Sternberg Palace, and Medieval Art in Bohemia and Central Europe 1200-1550 at the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia.
