When you need a little break from your Christmas shopping in the center and want some exercise, stop for ice skating at the Ovocný Trh ice rink in Prague 1.  You will need to rent skates or if you think ahead, just take your own.  Entrance is free.

Střelecký ostrov in Prague 1 also has an ice rink open.  This is a beautiful spot next to the river so enjoy ice skating in a lovely setting.  Entrance is 50 CZK.  Free for children under 10.

1 December 2021 to 28 February 2022

Another ice rink you might try is at Letná Park across from the Sparta football stadium.  Entrance is free.

Čapadlo, Smetanovo nábřeží, Praha 1 – Staré Město

Located on the Vltava River, this vaulted passage in the embankment wall, called a “čapadlo”, or mooring point, is located under the Hollar Gallery on the Smetana Embankment right at river level. Opening hours: Monday – Friday 13:00 – 21:00; Saturday – Sunday 10:00 – 21:00. Free admission. Gloves and helmets are mandatory for children under 12. Rental: skates 100czk, helmet 50czk, ice walker 50czk, deposit for skates 500czk.
